In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Republican President Donald Trump shined a spotlight on the dearth of historical knowledge in his head. Even that concerning his political idol, Andrew Jackson.
Said Trump, “He [Jackson] was really angry that he saw with regard to the Civil War… He said ‘There’s no reason for this.'”
Jackson “died in 1845 and likely did not offer any direct comment on the Civil War.”
