After Missile Attack on Syria, Exit Alt-Right?

Trump's Honeymoon With the Anarchists May Be Over

According to The Week, Republican President Donald Trump’s “base of far-right supporters is not onboard with his decision to order missile strikes in Syria.”

“Some of Trump’s most ardent far-right supporters slammed him for straying from his campaign promise to avoid getting involved in further conflict in the Middle East. Others were critical of the fact that Trump did not get approval from Congress before ordering the strike.”

The Week is also reporting that chief strategist Stephen Bannon may be losing the President’s ear. “Daily Intelligencer‘s Gabriel Sherman reported Friday that Bannon argued against Trump’s decision to order an airstrike against Syria on Thursday, claiming it went against Trump’s America First doctrine. But Trump went ahead with the strike anyway, apparently at the behest of his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, who is quickly gaining greater clout and responsibility in the West Wing.”
